My name is George Baily and I have been given a miracle – a chance to start over in a brand-new life!  My Angles, known on land as Rescuers, assure me that I am not worthless like I have been taught, but that I actually have a great value here on Earth!  So much so that when I was born I was blessed with Golden Kisses you can still see on my fur!  Now, as I look at my life opening up before me, all that is missing in my family!  And when I find my family, a rescuer will get their wings!

So, to tell my story.  I had owners.  I won’t call them a family, I have learned in just my brief time in my foster home that they were never that, they purposely left the gate open hoping I would leave!  Really!  You can’t make this stuff up!  So, being sad and lonesome, and the gate open, I headed on a journey.  It took me to the Dollar Store where for the very first time people treated me with kindness.  Not wanting me to be hurt, they contacted the little local shelter that could, who in turn introduced me to the people who make miracles come true for dogs (also known as the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.)   And they have shown me that there is a wonderful life out there just for me!  I feel as if I have just been born!

I will tell you I still have plenty of life in me, and my energy has been restored by the love and kindness of my foster family.  I am house trained, crate trained, and am learning to walk on a leash.  My favorite pass time is being with my human, although my four-legged foster family are pretty cool as well.  When I am around people I trust, I love to lay looking up to Heaven, all four feet going this way and that, and thank the world for my second life.  And sometimes, when I am sad, I sing the song of my people, and howl into the wind.  But with every day that passes, I forget a little more what I was taught that I was worthless, and believe a little more in my miracle, that will just take you to make complete – a Wonderful Life forever with you, my friend, my soul-mate.

Bailey is available for adoption through the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  He is a super sweet, guy with plenty of get-up and go.  All he wants is love and hugs and regular exercise.  He gets along with dogs, cats, and people, but being with people is his absolute favorite.  Having never had much attention paid to him, he could use some refresher courses in manners and needs regular exercise.  If you are interested in being Bailey’s Miracle, and giving a rescuer their wings, please put in an application at  http://www.labrescuefresno.org/.
